We have written a letter to the planning office for Bridgend in response to development ideas for Cypress Gardens.
We hold concerns over the experience of the developers, the environmental impact and the social implications of this development. Bridgend County Borough Council should be looking at solutions which prioritise the longevity of Porthcawl, taking the aims of the Wellbeing & Future Generations Act to its fullest extent. This development is short-sighted, environmentally reckless, and socially doomed.
The land up for consideration is a precious home of multiple non-human animals; it is right that this beauty is kept safe for us and for the generations to come.
